Cat is a landscape artist based in Berkshire and Buckinghamshire. She takes her inspiration from woodlands across the UK, exploring the stories that the woods evoke.
Her woodland scenes are painted in distinctive broken brushmarks, in this way she can interpret light and the seasons to create paintings that you feel you can step into. The experience of the painting changes as you move closer to the surface of the canvas and back out again, akin to zooming into a pixelated image.
Cat has was featured on this year’s Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year 2024 as a heat contestant in the first episode of the season and has gone on to film a Masterclass episode for Sky Art's new artist series.
She has also had work selected the British Art Prize Exhibition in 2024, and was selected twice for The Society of Botanical Artists annual exhibition at the Mall Galleries.
Cat exhibits regularly at Affordable Art Fairs in Hampstead and Battersea.
Cat work and teaching has been featured in various publications such including Leisure Painter, New Artist and Artist & Illustrator, and her work can be found on cards published by Museums and Galleries.
