Painting Week

SKETCHBOOK TO EASEL

Fantastic art course with TWO artists:
Double the experience, double the support, double the fun!

I'm am thrilled to be working with fellow artist and Tutor Liz Harvey (website) in bringing you an exciting and packed five day course in North Yorkshire.

Cat Croxford and Liz Harvey would like to invite you to join them for a fantastic art experience, immersing yourself in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside, exploring, experimenting and developing your artistic practice over 5 days.

We will use Liz's glorious art studio, just outside Ripon, near Grewelthorpe, as the base for the course and take in the local countryside, which offers fabulous panoramas, wonderful wild woods and gently meandering river views. Each day will be a balance of studio time and working outside. All art materials will be provided along with a simple, hearty lunch and refreshments throughout the day.

During the week, you will get the opportunity to work in a range of media including oils, acrylics, charcoal, pastels and ink. We will introduce different skills, techniques and practices to enable you to find your preferences and develop your work from sketchbook to easel.  Our inspiration will be taken from the surrounding countryside, exploring a variety of landscapes, treescapes, textures and structures.

Cat and Liz are both experienced teachers and artists and will help you to develop your artistic voice and skills over the course. The course is suitable for all abilities and we will tailor content to individual needs; the group size will be kept small to enable individual support to take place.
