I am really excited to be offering one to one workshops at my studio in Buckingham.  Whether you are a beginner or need a refresher, or want to learn a new style, then these are for you!

My experience

I have been teaching for over 14 years at JoeDaisy studio (where I continue to run weekend courses - see below).  I am an active teacher - as well as demonstrating the processes and explaining what I am doing as I paint, I will be watching you work and helping you develop your confidence and skill level.

What to expect

We will be working in acrylics, using the very best materials:  Liquitex Soft body and Golden Fluid (I will provide the materials).  Our painting will be on canvas, taking our inspiration from the woodland or garden scenes I photograph - or you are very welcome to bring your own photo to work from.

The day starts at 10.00am, and finishes at 3.00pm, I will provide drinks and snacks, but please bring your own lunch.

What to bring

I will provide all your painting materials, so you only need consider:

  • Wear clothes that you don't mind getting covered in paint!

  • Whilst snacks are available, I would advise that you bring lunch, you are welcome to pop them in my fridge!

  • If you want to work from your own photos, bring a couple so that we can find the best composition

  • Feel free to bring examples of your own work that you would like critiquing

£200 for the one to one day, materials all included.

"Thanks Cat, and thanks for a terrific weekend. You work so hard, and work us hard too – which was exactly what I wanted; to be pushed to go further. I learned such a lot from you because you are an excellent teacher, particularly your ability to talk clearly as you demonstrate what you’re doing. Thanks for all your input and encouragement – and the fun!"

"I'd just like to say again how much fun you made the course and such a brilliant teacher, I still can't believe how much I achieved in such a short space of time"

"Thank you so much Cat for sharing some of the insights that you have gained in such an informed , encouraging and sensitive way - I am inspired to take more steps"

"You are an inspiring teacher and gave me the confidence to pick up a paint brush and apply paint to a canvas (a first for me!)"
