A late Spring day in West Berkshire woods. The impact of humans can be seen in the woods in many different ways, none so as obvious, apart from felling, as big muddy tracks cutting their way through the bluebells. But I loved the shape of the puddles they held and the tenacity of Spring's last blooms on the verges.
This painting was my entry into Landscape Artist of the Year and appears with me on the programme (Season 9, Heat 1)
